Getting Started
Step 1: Once neep is downloaded on your computer, make sure your preferred audio device is set in the app and turned on.
If you turn the speaker noise cancellation on this will reduce background noise that a caller may have going on around them. For example, if you’re on the call with someone and they have a dog barking, if you turn speaker noise cancellation on it will help reduce their background noise.

Step 2: Register your voice so neep knows to focus on your voice and not other sounds around you, and ensure it’s turned on.

Step 3: Make sure neep is set to default in your audio preferences for whichever meeting or call software you use on the computer (Zoom, RingCentral, Teams, Five9, Google Meet, Genesys, 8×8, GoTo, 3CX, and many others)

Adjusting settings
Make sure “Echo cancellation” and “HD voice” is checked. Turn microphone noise reduction level to max and make sure “Enhanced noise cancellation” is checked as well for the best performance. Under the test audio tab you’ll be able to test your microphone and hear how neep is performing before getting on a live call!

How to Test Audio
In the neep make sure you have the audio devices selected for microphone and speaker as this will be what the system uses during the test. Select the settings icon.

Select the test audio tab on the left side of the settings pop up menu.

Click record then it will record your voice for 15 seconds, continue talking for the system to record your voice. After recording it will begin to automatically play your voice into your speakers and you can choose to toggle back and forth between what your microphone sounds like with and without neep noise cancelling.
