Headset Advisor is the company that created the neep app as a commercial service, which is provided “as is”. When we refer to “Headset Advisor”, “us”, “we” or “our”, we mean Headset Advisor company who are responsible for personal data collected about you.

Our company collects personal information from site visitors, customers, and end-users who use the service. Additionally, neep collects certain information from third parties. By choosing to use the neep app, you are agreeing to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy. The collected personal information is used to provide and improve the service. neep will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in the privacy policy. The terms used in the policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which can be accessed on the neep website unless otherwise defined in the privacy policy.

Although this Privacy Policy was updated on the date listed above, we recommend that you periodically review it since our business and site and/or services may change. neep may need to adjust this Privacy Policy at times, and we reserve the right to do so without prior notice. However, if the modifications materially affect your rights or how we utilize your personal information, we will notify you through email or other direct communication before the changes take effect. By continuing to use the Site and/or Services after any updates or revisions to this Privacy Policy, you indicate that you agree with the terms of the updated Privacy Policy. To Whom Does This Policy Applied
Note at the outset that this Privacy Policy does not cover our Customers’ websites, products or services. Each Customer is responsible for posting its own terms, conditions, and privacy policies, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This Privacy Policy applies to:

Customers: as noted above, this includes any individual who registers or creates an account individually or on behalf of an entity or organization in order to use the Services.
Site Visitors: visitors to our Site, including those who may also opt-in to receive commercial communications from neep.
End Users: neep processes End User data on behalf of its Customers. While our Customers are responsible, as data controllers, for how and why we collect and process our End User personal information, this Privacy Policy also applies to any End User personal information that we process, as a data processor, in order to provide Services to our Customers, except where specifically indicated.
Other Individuals: neep also collects certain professional information from third parties about individuals with whom we do not have a direct relationship or individuals who contact us to get more information about neep.


Information We Collect
During operations, neep processes your audio and your registered voice locally. Your audio is private to you and we do not have access to your registered voice nor we send your audio and registered voice out of your device.

To track usage time, neep collects:

  • App version
  • Current settings
  • Email address
  • Operating system
  • Usage start times
  • Usage end times
  • Apps used neep’s virtual speaker or microphone
  • Paid users can turn off usage tracking in the app’s settings.

When users report issues via the app’s settings, two log files of the app will be sent to our backend for troubleshooting. These files include, along with the app’s operational logs, the names of audio devices you have used, your email address, and app’s settings.

neep website and backend are deployed on Vercel and we use the following Google’s Firebase services for database, storage, cloud functions, and authentication:

  • Cloud Firestore
  • Cloud Functions for Firebase
  • Cloud Storage for Firebase
  • Firebase Authentication

These Firebase services and Vercel are certified under major privacy and security standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3. In particular, for authentication purposes, Google’s Firebase may store and use some or all of the following information:

  • Email addresses
  • Passwords
  • Phone numbers
  • User agents
  • IP addresses

User agents and IP addresses are employed by Google to provide added security and prevent abuse during sign-up and authentication. IP addresses will be logged temporarily by Google’s Firebase Authentication for a few weeks and will be removed automatically. Other information is retained in neep’s database.
